If you've ever wondered what it's like to walk a long distance trail, this blog might help. In England, we'll start with the Cotswolds Way, walking 102 miles from Chipping Campden to Bath. After a rest day in Bath, we'll go up north to the Lakes District to walk the Cumberland Way. Starting in Ravenglass, we'll walk 60 more miles, ending in Eamont Bridge, near Penrith.
We've received all our materials from Contours -- maps, guide books, insurance certificates (not sure what we'll use those for), itineraries. We're checking the weather there in the hopes it will help us pack sensibly. Now we just wait until departure day.
